New fragrances from The Body Shop
Wednesday 5 August 2015
Once upon a time, Chrissy had a little spare time in town before heading home and wandered into The Body Shop. A mystical spell came over her and she found herself walking out over half an hour later with a bag full of goodies . . . Okay, so it didn't quite happen like that, but seriously I went in just beacuse it was there (you know how it happens) and ended up with a new fragrance, a cleanser and a bb cream. In my defence, I had a code to get £10 off a £25 spend so obviously I had to use it.
Anyway, this post is about the relaunch of a range of fragrances from The Body Shop which have been rebranded and reformulated plus the launch of a brand new fragrance, 'Italian Summer Fig'. I went in to check the new fragrance out and I was expecting not to like it but it's really quite nice.
There are 5 scents in total, all as equally delicious as each other (can a perfume be delicious? Makes me sound like I've eaten it). The range includes the new 'Italian Summer Fig' and the rebranding of 'Japanese Cherry Blossom', 'Fijian Water Lotus', 'Atlas Mountain Rose' and 'Italian Night Jasmine'. Each fragrance includes an eau de toilette, fragrance mist, body butter, body lotion and shower gel.
I spent ages deciding between the jasmine and cherry ones but as I already have a sweet fragrance I went for the Jasmine instead. The new packaging for the perfumes have a definite thumbs up from me. They have the right balance between simple, classy and pretty and each fragrance has a different pattern which I like too. As I already own a few perfumes, I decided to get the fragrance mist as I prefer sprays/mists for in my handbag to use throughout the day.
To say this is a mist and not a perfume the scent is quite strong and has good lasting power. I really am not good at describing smells but I'd say it's a rich musky smell with a flowery undertone, quite a sophisticated scent- I'm actually laughing at myself writing this, I sound like I'm describing wine!(Sorry). It's in a really pretty bottle and at £8.50 I think it's really reasonable and I'm pretty sure I will be getting another one soon (or the whole collection).
The whole range, including the new fragrance Italian 'Summer Fig', are definitely worth checking out and I'm looking forward to trying some of the other products in the range too. I always look forward to The Body Shop's new releases and this one doesn't dissappoint. Check the website now as the offer that I got is still available in shops and online! (although you can't use this on the new frgarance range yet)
Have any of you tried this or one of the other new fragrances? Let me know in the comments below.
