Feeling lost

This is one if those unplanned posts where I just have the feeling to write down my thoughts in the hope that it will help make some sense of whats going on in my head. If you haven't guessed already, this is gonna be one of those rambly chatty posts that most certainly won't make sense to anyone including myself but here goes. Stick with me here- there's an end in sight, promise. 

Hello 2016

Hello. . . It's me! (Sorry couldn't resist) but seriously it's been far too long since my last post. I'm not really going to go into 2015 and reflect upon it as it's in the past and in all honesty it was a mixed year that seemed to go downhill towards the end. I now want to only look forward and be the best possible version of me. Even though I'm not a fan of the whole " New year, New me" saying, (like really- you are an awesome person who may need a few tweaks not a whole life swap every January), I do love the feeling of having a fresh start.

Why Autumn is my Favourite Season

So it's officially autumn although I'm pretty sure the weather decided to start it early this year. At the moment I'm sat writing this on a chilly evening in my pjs, thick socks with a cup of tea next to an open fire- could I get any more into Autumn? This season is definitely my favourite and not just because its my birthday in November, check out my reasons for loving autumn below!

Hot choclates and lots of tea
Need I say more? I don't really need an excuse to drink tea as I consume a lot no matter what the season but coming in from a chilly trip outside to a lovely warm cup of tea is one of lifes little pleasures come this time of the year. Now this may be a big shock given the fact about 99% of bloggers are obsessed with Starbucks pumpkin lattes but I've never tried one and always opt for hot chocolates when out, however this year I'm going to take the plunge and see what all the fuss is about. Also I have perfected a coloured white hot chocolate recipe that will be up in time for Halloween.

Home comfort food
There is nothing better then those home made meals that you have in the colder months. I'm talking soups and crusty bread, shepherds pies, slow cooked stews and I sharn't mention the yummy desserts- Apple pie and custard!

Halloween, Bonfire Night and My Birthday!
Dressing up, Halloween parties, scary movies, bonfires, toffee apples, fireworks, sparklers, presents. Enough said really! But I'm always super happy round this time of the year.

Open Fires
Im so lucky to be now living in a  house with an open fire. It creates a picture perfect autumn and winter setting to snuggle up to on an evening and I cant wait to get the marshmallows out.

Bath Time
Coming in from the cold and running a lovely warm bath is so more pleasing in Autumn and I suspect I will be making a trip to Lush soon for some bath time goodies to help and relax and unwind.

Every night is a snuggle and tv night
When its cold and dark every evening is the best excuse to be in your pjs with a duvet watching tv. I find the best Saturday night tele is in autumn and winter and all the best tv series start again around this time if the year. At the moment Im waiting for Once Upon a Time, The Walking Dead and  Pretty Little Liars and in the meantime there is Strictly, X Factor and Downton Abbey!

A/W Fashion
Is it just me that prefers autumn and winter fashion? The colours, the cute dresses with tights, winter coats and boots. I just always enjoy dressing for the colder months then I do in Summer. I'm loving the 70's trend at the moment am currently trying to get a polo neck jumper in every colour.

Autumn Views
Drawing back the curtains in the morning in Autumn and seeing the leaves change colour, start to fall whilst lit by a low autumn sun  is all the more lovely having the comfort of being all warm and snug whilst it's cold outside.

A ramble about life

I'm not one for rambling about my life but I have had a lot of time to think lately and have had a few important life decisions to think about. For some reason I have grabbed my laptop and started writing, so who knows how this post will turn out so just bear with me on this one.

My Summer To-do List

Well, firstly I must apologise for my failure to blog these past few weeks. I would blame it on the fact that I forgot my camera when I went back home for a couple of weeks and then have been moving house since I've been back but really I have just been unorganised. Which leads me to this post- a to do list! I love making lists, whether its to-do lists, wish lists, things to pack lists etc etc. I am not the best at actually completing the list but everyone knows the best part is making it right? Anyway, since the weather is actually what it is meant to be (SUNNY) I thought this would be a perfect time to make a summer to do list for the next couple of months. So here goes,
